Welcome to St. Patrick’s Catholic Primary School online.

My name is Mrs J. Richmond and I am the Executive Head Teacher of St. Patrick’s Catholic Primary School. I am a mother of four children and I am a practising and committed Catholic. I feel very honoured and privileged to be the Head Teacher of this school.

The staff work in partnership with children, parents and the parish to ensure the best possible education for each child. Our children are at the very heart of the school and although we value academic performance, we believe that our pupils should enjoy their time at school and achieve across a whole range of areas.

We provide a wide range of extra- curricular opportunities especially sports taking full advantage of our extensive playing fields. We provide a happy and safe environment within which students can experience opportunities beyond the classroom so that they can become independent learners and eventually responsible and confident adults.

We know and value each unique child and design a curriculum that meets individual needs. Knowing that children thrive when they are challenged and encouraged to meet new goals, we always have high expectations and foster in all children a belief that they can succeed- this is part of the reason the children at St. Patrick’s Catholic Primary School make outstanding progress in every class! We are always looking for ways to embrace new technology and find exciting ways for children to learn. Children at St. Patrick’s Catholic Primary School are not confined to working in books in the classroom! We ensure that our curriculum provides opportunities to learn in a variety of settings, using a range of resources that excite and inspire!

We pride ourselves on the pastoral care of our children. All students are valued. We foster values of courtesy, good behaviour, consideration and individual responsibility, we offer a high level of challenge accompanied by high levels of support so that all can achieve. Through learning, living and praying as part of the Catholic community, we will help every child appreciate their own God given gifts and talents.
