World Book Day 2021
Next week, on 4th March, is World Book Day. This is a day where we come together and celebrate the joy of books. In school, we have always celebrated this by dressing up as book characters and taking part in various activities. For obvious reasons, this will look very different this year, but we still feel it is very important that we take part in and celebrate this fantastic day.
Book tokens
Every year, children are given special book tokens and this year is no different. Please find attached to this email your child’s book token. These book tokens can then be swapped for one of the new and COMPLETELY FREE World Book Day books!
World Book Day tokens will be valid until Sunday 28 March 2021 and can be used participating booksellers, which include some supermarkets.

Dressing up as your favourite book character
We know how much children enjoy dressing up as book character every year. This year, we would like to continue this tradition and encourage your children to pick their favourite book character and dress up. We would love to see some photos. Please do send them in on your child’s Google Classroom account, email the school or bring them to school when we return.
Pictures of you and your family reading
Reading is very important to us here at St Patrick’s and we would love to see some pictures of your children and the family reading their new books. Please upload these to Google Classroom, email them to school or bring them to school when we return.
